Black Horse Run first formed in 2011 under the name Broken Angel. The name was changed shortly after to Black Horse Run when the band set its eyes on southern rock. Matt and Mike Journigan formed the band and were joined soon after by drummer Alan Swan and Bassist Landon Ellington. The group has been inspiring by the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blackberry Smoke, Fleetwood Mac, The Allman Brothers, Daughtry, 3 Doors Down, Black Crowes, Otis Redding, and Stevie Wonder. Due to the skill of a powerhouse drummer in Allen Swan, the band has had the privilege of writing songs ranging from upbeat party to deep, spellbinding ballads.
